Sets the preferences for the application.

Columns

Format

Sets the default data format for new columns and Datasets.

Use scientific notation for small numbers

Available when Custom is selected for Format.

Alignment

Choose from Left, Centre, Right or Natural

A column defined with Natural alignment with align the contents based upon the script used within it. For languages that run right-to-left, such as Arabic or Hebrew, right alignment will be used. For languages that display left-to-right left alignment will be used. It is also possible to mix languages within the single column and each row will display with the appropriate alignment based on it's contents. For example:

Sets the default width for columns in characters.

Sets the font to be used for the Dataset. See Choosing fonts

Alpha Level

Three pre-set values (90%, 95% & 99%) are available by clicking on the appropriate radio button or any value from 0 to 100 can be entered by clicking on the "Custom:" radio button.

Descriptive plot

Sets the default graph option for the Descriptive test

Frequency plot

Sets the default graph option for the Frequency test

Correlation / Regression plot

Sets the default graph option for the Correlation test

Area Under the Curve plot

Sets the default graph option for the Area Under the Curve test

Axis Mode

Y axis

Set the Axis mode for the Y Axis on scattergrams. Choose from:

User defined axes can be defined in the Column properties dialog for the variable in question.

Y axis

Set the Axis style for the X axis on scattergrams. Choose from:

User defined axes can be defined in the Column properties dialog for the variable in question.

Categorical Y Axis

Set the Axis style for the Value axis on categorical plots (Area, Bar, and Symbol). Choose from:

User defined axes can be defined in the Column properties dialog for the variable in question.

Fonts

Allows you to choose the font and style to be used for graph titles and Axis titles and labels. See Choosing fonts.

Graph colours

Allows you to choose the colours used in graphs. The first colour is used on scattergrams, polar, area, bar and symbol plots. The other colours are used in pie charts.

Options

3D

Allows graphs to optionally be displayed with a 3D effect.

Horizontal grid

Allows optional display of horizontal grid lines on graphs

Vertical grid

Allows optional display of vertical grid lines on graphs

Warnings

Columns

You can enable or disable various warning dialogs within the application. Enabling the checkbox here causes the warning to be shown. You can also disable the warning by checking the 'Don't show again' checkbox on the warning dialog when it appears.
