About

Before analyses can be performed, the variables to be used must be specified as the 'Y variables'. Where variables are to be compared, the second variable must be specified as the 'X variables'. The 'X variables' are also used when specifying the independent variables in a Multiple Linear Regression analysis.

Only Number and Code list variables will be available to select.

If more than one variable is selected OxonStat will automate multiple comparisons in one operation. See Performing multiple analyses for details.

Univariate tests

Each statistical test or graphics option presents a dialog with a variables panel at the top. For univariate test, or tests that consider a range of variables all at once, a single listbox of Y variables is provided:

Comparison tests

For comparison tests Y variables and X variables lists are presented:

Selecting multiple variables

In each of these lists you can select variables by using any of the standard Macintosh listbox selection methods:

Actions in one list will not affect your selections in another list.
