Parameters

Frequency dialog

Variables

Select one or more Y variables (See Selecting variables for details). Output will be produced for each variable chosen.

Options

Grouping

Three modes are available:

Discrete values
No grouping or intervals are applied. Every unique value in your raw data column receives its own individual class, which is ideal for categorical data. This option is always used for CodeList columns.
Automatic Classes
Class intervals are derived automatically for each variable. The classes will encompass the full range of the variable and choose an appropriate interval.
Custom Classes
A single user defined lower and upper limit can be specified together with a Step value. The same class structure is used for each variable.

Lower

Establishes the lower boundary of the very first class. Any data value below this minimum floor is excluded./p>

Upper

Establishes the upper boundary of the final class. Any data value above this maximum ceiling is excluded

Step

Defines the class width (or interval size). It determines the uniform range spanned by each individual class.

Graph

Allows you to choose a graph to accompany your output. You can choose between:

<none>
No graph is produced
Frequency
% Frequency
Cumulative frequency
% cumulative frequency

The default graph can be selected in Preferences

Subtitle

Allows you to specify an optional subtitle which will be included in the statistical output.

Buttons

?

Opens the help system for this dialog.

Dataset…

Sends the output from this analysis to a new OxonStat Dataset. See Dataset output for more details.

Print…

Sends the output from this analysis to a printer.

Cancel

Cancels the analysis and closes the dialog.

Screen…

Displays the output from this analysis in the Results window.
